I play Sims 3 with all the lowest settings except for the sims (because I love to look at them). Just so you know, because I'm going to post screenshots. I don't do any special effort to make them serviceable or any nicer looking.

I created a household with two of my characters, Motis and Sae. And Motis has the insane trait. All he does, pretty much, is talk to himself, give himself sponge baths in the kitchen sink (which is in front of a window!), sit on the toilet, 'gussy up' in every mirror of the house, and wear the weirdest outfits. Sae just lays on the bed and daydreams. A lot. For hours at a time until his needs dip so low that he has to get off the bed. I'm trying not to play them very much, in the terms of controlling them. It's fun to watch them do their thing. But since Sae does absolutely nothing, I'm usually looking at Motis all day.

The first picture I took of them. Sae is excited about a plant that is inside the house that he can't even see and Motis is watching him have his little freak out.

Sponge bath one. Note the window. Sae is in the bedroom daydreaming, if you want to know.  Well, he's either daydreaming or sleeping. I can't remember.

Sponge bath two. Again, the window. And he's tired. I think he should have just gone to bed instead of having a sponge bath.

Motis doesn't like his job outfit? Good, neither do I.

Sitting on the toilet. Not going to the bathroom, just sitting. He's only ever worn his every day outfit, this one, twice. Once when he first got into the house (and then he changed into his formal outfit) and then when he was doing this.

He is constantly on the phone with his boss. Constantly.

Just look at those eyes. If you can't tell, they're crossed.

In closing. Motis is insane and essentially only wears his athletic clothes (the black pants) and Sae is boring.
